HATHA YOGA

The practice of Hatha yoga focuses on total mastery of the physical body, including all bodily functions. The term is derived from the Sanskrit ha, meaning "sun," and tha, meaning “moon”. Practices are designed to unite and balance these two energies. It also emphasises activating the chakras in order to stimulate kundalini and promote spiritual and physical wellness, including disease elimination.  During the class our instructor will guide you towards balancing the mind, body and chakras through specific asanas (yoga poses) and controlled, meditative breathing that complements the physical movements of the body.  

 

Hatha yoga is practised more slowly and with more static posture holds than a Vinyasa flow or Ashtanga session.

Class participation : up to 8 people
